Research grants from the I. K. Lykke Fund for students under 30 in Trøndelag

In 2026, DKNVS will award a total of NOK 150,000 in grants to support early-career researchers in Trøndelag.

Who can apply?
Students and early-career researchers under 30 in Trøndelag who are working on promising research projects at master’s level or above and are not receiving substantial grants from other sources.
Not eligible?
Check whether you can apply for support from the research fund instead.
Aim of the funding
The funding is intended primarily for activities that can enhance the scientific value of the research.
Eligibility requirements for 2026
- You must have been born in 1997 or later, be a student or early-career researcher in Trøndelag working on a promising research project at master’s level or above, and not be receiving substantial grants from other sources.
- You must write your application in a Scandinavian language or English.
- You must use our online application form.
Project reporting
- The Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters must be acknowledged in all publications resulting from the funded project.
- Recipients must submit a brief report to DKNVS upon completion of the project. DKNVS would also appreciate receiving the full project report.
- DKNVS may invite selected recipients to present their projects at its meetings or in its publication series, Skrifter.

Marie Digre received a grant of NOK 35,000 in 2023. The funding allowed her to take a break from her part-time job and spend an additional year collecting data.
