Research and Public Engagement Funding at DKNVS
Each year, DKNVS awards funding for research and public engagement projects. In recent years, the total has been NOK 600,000, distributed between scientific awards, grants and general research funding.
Research funding from funds and endowments
The funding comes from funds and endowments received by DKNVS over the years. These are managed in accordance with their governing statutes and the donors’ wishes.
A portion of the investment returns is used to support research activities in fields specified in the terms of each fund or endowment.

The DKNVS Board decides who receives research funding. Funding decisions cannot be appealed.
Marie Digre received a grant of NOK 35,000 last year. This allowed her to take a break from her part-time job and spend an additional year collecting data.
