Honors outstanding scientific work 

• The Gunnerus Award in Sustainability Science was an international research prize of NOK 1 million. The Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters founded the award, which was presented for the first time in 2012. From 2017, it was jointly awarded with NTNU every other year.

  The award honored outstanding scientific work for global sustainable development. It aimed to promote research and strengthen the scientific basis of sustainability.
